USDA Milk Market Laboratory

Challenge: Design and construct a USDA testing laboratory.

Solution: Peak worked closely with George Butler Associates, a design firm, to plan and construct a USDA milk-testing laboratory and corresponding offices. This facility presented unique challenges for providing multiple egress points for both people and samples and necessary mechanical and electrical separation and independent operating systems. The facility daily tests and regulates all milk gathered in the general Kansas City area for compliance with USDA requirements.
