Challenge: To perform a complete interior, exterior and site transformation of Parker Hannifin’s obsolete and inefficient, two-story, 50 year old manufacturing plant into a state-of-the-art engineering and light manufacturing warehouse and office facility while simultaneously exposing and resolving unforeseen existing building challenges.

Solution: Peak worked intimately with Parker Hannifin, Elk Grove Village, Nicor, Heitman Architects and project civil engineer Jacob & Hefner Associates to complete the entire scope of work within a compressed timeframe. Interior renovations included a complete demolition and reconstruction of the existing office space, creating several open collaboration and engineering areas, the addition of elevated ribbon windows along the entire length of the south side of the building, a new office mezzanine, elevator, building street façade, and sun shade system. The Association of Licensed Architects (ALA) recently awarded Peak the Silver Medal Design Award in recognition of superior achievement and professional design excellence for Parker Hannifin.
