Northbrook Medical Imaging

Challenge: Design and complete the interior construction of a modern medical imaging center within the Northbrook Court regional shopping mall.

Solution: Peak worked closely with Dobrin Associates and General Electric medical equipment designers to complete a modern medical imaging center including digital mammography, ultrasound, radiography, CT scans and x-rays. The scope of work included special interior isolated electrical power, air conditioning, humidity control, ventilation filtering, and x-ray room containment with lead shielding.

Interior finishes incorporated seamless medical flooring, washable wall finishes, and a large decorative entry lobby consistent with retail mall requirements. Due to the nature of the procedures and requirements, typical retail tenant shared mechanical and electrical systems needed to be isolated to prevent any adverse impact between this space and other spaces.
