Challenge: Design and complete interior improvements required for a commodity trading data processing emergency disaster recovery center.

Solution: Peak worked closely with Mark J. Rupsis, the architect, to design and construct a disaster recovery data processing and operating facility in suburban Matteson, Ill.  A fully redundant commodity trading and data processing facility was completed in an existing facility to permit next day full business operation for entire company commodity trading business normally operating at the Board of Trade. Computer and communication copper and fiber optics equipment were installed including all necessary open office furniture partitions, lunchroom, washrooms and other employee amenities to enable immediate relocation from the Board of Trade to this location in the event of a disaster closing the Board of Trade location.
