Description: North American Headquarters Cork Processing Facility
Design and manage the construction of an automated beverage cork processing facility meeting Napa County project requirements, California energy regulations, as well as budget, quality, and time constraints.
Peak worked closely with HJ Shein and Heitman Architects to develop design and construction criteria for multiple contractors to prepare project proposals for the new facility. On-site tilt-up construction provided a unique architectural and structural solution for a combination of both the exterior building image and building code required seismic resistive characteristics. Key critical project details in addition to schedule, costs, and a unique corporate headquarters image included roof provisions for photovoltaic solar collection cells, a guest friendly lobby viewing area of the laboratories and wine sommelier quality testing activities for cork quality validation.
