Michael P. Sullivan

Mike Sullivan is a 27-year veteran of the design-build construction industry, and has taken Peak Construction, founded in 1997, from a small local firm into a national design-build construction and construction management corporation with projects completed in more than 13 states, and is currently operating out of corporate offices in the Chicago Suburb of Lisle, Ill.
Mike is involved in all aspects of the company’s business and manages all operational, marketing and client service issues. He is known as an innovator and a problem-solver in the commercial real estate industry, and is sought after both for his company’s design-build capabilities and as a construction manager and consultant. Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois – Champaign in 1980, and a Master of Management from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University.
Prior to taking the reins at Peak, Mike became the first professional employee of McShane Construction Corporation in 1985 and eventually became its President in 1994. His responsibilities expanded as the company grew, and Mike had the opportunity to create and implement many of the safety, quality, financial reporting, training and operating procedures for the company. In addition, he actively participated in the sales and marketing process. By 1996, Mike was responsible for a profitable construction company generating $40 million in annual revenue, including 30 non-site employees and over 100 skilled field tradesmen. Prior to his tenure there, Mike was employed by Opus Corporation from 1980 to 1985, where he worked on the Kensington Center in Mount Prospect as well as a variety of other office, industrial, office park development and other commercial projects.
