PeakGiving Partners with Northern Illinois Food Bank

Des Plaines, IL (July 28, 2015) — PeakGiving, Peak Construction Corporation’s philanthropic arm, recently volunteered at Northern Illinois Food Bank.  Peak volunteers spent an afternoon in the Food Bank’s West Suburban facility in Geneva sorting and re-packing food.  As a source of nutritious food, innovative feeding programs, and hope for more than 71,000 people each week, Northern Illinois Food Bank has the goal of solving hunger in their 13-county service area.  The nonprofit organization relies on community partners who join with them in their vision for no one to be hungry in Northern Illinois.

“There is a shocking amount of food insecurity in the Chicago area and Northern Illinois.  It is an important social issue here at Peak so we became a Circle of Hope Member at Northern Illinois Food Bank to help contribute,” shared Michael P. Sullivan, Jr., CEO and Founder of Peak.   “I have been working and volunteering with Northern Illinois Food Bank since 2009.  Julie Yurko, Hester Bury and the entire Solve Hunger Today Team run an impeccable organization.  I am excited to have introduced PeakGiving to their vision and efforts,” Steve Golumbeck, Vice President of Peak stated.
