Des Plaines, IL (August 16, 2016) — Peak Construction Corporation has been selected as the design-builder for Riddell’s new manufacturing and distribution facility in North Ridgeville, OH.  Peak joins Avison Young, Scannell Properties, Heitman Architects Incorporated and R.E. Warner & Associates, Inc. in constructing the new 347,205 square foot build-to-suit facility slated for completion in early 2017.  The building will relocate Riddell’s existing operations in Elyria, OH, which include on-field football helmet and custom shoulder pad assemblies as well as transfer production of their full-size collectible football helmets and football gear and apparel distribution from Rantoul, IL.

The new building will provide all North American new helmet and specialty shoulder pad production as well as existing football helmet and shoulder pad reconditioning and certification services.  In addition, the facility will feature a fitness center, break and training rooms, additional storage, shipping/receiving access, and ample parking.

“At Peak, we believe that building long-lasting relationships is at the core of the services we provide.  We couldn’t be happier to be working with the Riddell Team again and look forward to this new endeavor in Ohio.  They are a great client,” shared Michael P. Sullivan, Jr., Peak’s CEO and Founder.

“On behalf of Riddell, I’m appreciative of our continued relationship with Peak Construction. Mike Sullivan and his team at Peak have supported Riddell in several projects designed to modernize our operations. The outstanding work by Peak and its design teams, regulatory entities and subcontractors, have resulted in energy efficient, meticulously developed, and cost effective facilities that are best-in-class. We look forward to bringing this project to a close, culminating with an anticipated grand opening in Q1 2017,” said Allison Boersma, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer, Riddell and BRG Sports.
