Peak Construction Corporation Selected to complete full design / build construction service for the new corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility for Rauland-Borg.

Mike Sullivan, president and founder of Peak Construction Corporation, announces that the firm has been selected by Rauland-Borg to complete requirements for the new state of the art manufacturing facility located at 1802 West Central Road in Mount Prospect, Ill. Occupancy began the first of November 2008 and final completion is scheduled for April 2009. Peak will be coordinating and managing a complicated construction schedule accommodating multiple stages of occupancy and operation while additional new construction is completed in the facility.

“The final Rauland-Borg project solution will result in an appropriately placed series of business departments each integrating their respective functions in an efficient and modern manufacturing environment that enables their finished products to be delivered to customers in a competitive and customized platform. The Rauland-Borg family of health care communication products continue to be recognized as the benchmark of excellence internationally in the health care industry by both customers and competitors.” said Sullivan.

The project, located on Remington Boulevard at Schmidt Road in Bolingbrook, Ill. will afford office space for one and two doctor office suites connected by a fully enclosed pedestrian walkway, on grade, 14’-0” floor-to-floor, to the newly constructed Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital; a designated Level II Trauma Center and one of the first new Illinois hospitals to be built in over 25 years. The offices will provide CT Scan-molecular imaging and mammogram women’s imaging functions along with many other state-of-the-art services. The building will consist of a steel-framed structure with reinforced concrete footings, precast and glass façade. HVAC units will be roof-mounted with metal screen panels attached. Additional parking necessary for the operation of the facility includes the construction of a 375 space parking lot plus handicap-accessible spaces.

BUILDING INFO
The project scope includes the analysis and integration of numerous essential Rauland-Borg business functions including engineering, sales, accounting, manufacturing, raw and finished good staging, as well as a state of the art "Solution Center" offering interactive demonstrations and product capabilities for prospective and existing clients. The 250,000 SF manufacturing facility will be operated by over 400 professionals supported by a full service cafeteria, fitness center, and human resources department.

The manufacturing process will require modifications and enhancements to the electrical power system, compressed air, HVAC, exhaust, anti-static floor surfaces, lighting, and emergency power systems.

Peak Construction Corporation’s project team includes John Reilly, project executive, Dale Carter, Senior Project Manager, and Tony Amettis, project superintendent. The architect is Heitman Architects, of Itasca, Ill. Jeff Blake with Paine/Wetzel Associates is the real estate broker for Rauland-Borg.

Peak Construction Corporation is performing construction management services as part of the Central Grocers Team completion of a “state of the art” dry, refrigerated and frozen food distribution facility.

Mike Sullivan, president and founder of Peak Construction Corporation, announces that the firm is part of the development team selected by Central Grocers to provide complete project management oversight for all development, design, and construction activities required to complete Central Grocers’ new 934,490 SF dry, refrigerated and frozen food distribution facility at 2600 West Haven Avenue in Joliet, IL.

“The new Central Grocers food distribution center will be a completely racked high efficiency operation incorporating an energy efficient multi-staged ammonia refrigeration system, recently perfected hydrogen power lift truck technology, and the newest model of vertical stored hydraulic dock equipment and controls. The structural bay spacing for the entire facility was optimized based upon pallet rack efficiency and the final building layout permits over 400 employees to come and go across multiple shifts without having to encounter any of the semi-truck vehicles. This distribution center will be the benchmark of excellence for food distribution within Central Grocers industry.” said Sullivan.

Peak Construction Corporation Selected to Construct a 3-Story Medical Office Building in the Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital Campus.

Mike Sullivan, president and founder of Peak Construction Corporation, announces that the firm has been selected by Trammell Crow Company to construct a 75,000 square-foot, 3-story medical office building and fully enclosed pedestrian walkway in Bolingbrook, Ill. With completion scheduled for February 2008, Peak will pursue an aggressive construction schedule accommodating construction design and permitting.

“While building a connecting walkway that will offer patients, doctors and medical staff direct, quick and convenient access to one of the newest state-of-the-art hospitals makes this project unique in its own right, it is our proven “fast track” capabilities and team ingenuity that will insure the stringent project schedule is executed,” said Sullivan.

Construction kicks off for new Morris hotel

Mike Sullivan, president and founder of Peak Construction Corporation, joins forces with Morris Hotel Group, LLC, to build a 3-story Holiday Inn Express and Suites at Interstate 80 and Interstate 47 in Morris, Illinois. With completion scheduled for January 2008, Peak will pursue a vigorous construction schedule accommodating construction design and permitting.

Peak Construction Corporation to Design and Construct a 352,200 Square Foot Manufacturing Facility Precedent South Business Park, Greenwood, Indiana

Mike Sullivan, president and founder of Peak Construction Corporation, announces that the firm will design and construct a multi-tenant distribution facility for Quadrangle, LLC in the Precedent South Business Park, Greenwood, Indiana (suburban Indianapolis).

“Having completed other projects in the Precedent South Business Park, our team is established and can complete the initial project requirements while responding to specific tenant specifications in RFP processes while the project is under construction allowing for added value and cost-savings,” said Sullivan.

The distribution facility is to include glass decorative offices for up to (4) four tenants, 36’ clear height, 40 dock doors, air bag dock levelers, heavy-duty truck pavement, 45 mil EPDM and parking for 53 trucks and 170 cars with future expansion capabilities, and a Carlyle ballasted roof; R-12.5. Construction is to begin February 2007 with completion scheduled for November 2007.

Peak Construction Corporation’s project team includes Dale Carter, project manager and Chuck Redina, project superintendent. The architect is JRA Architecture, Indianapolis, Ind. Deerfield, Ill.-based Quadrangle Development Company developed the Precedent South Business Park. Currently, the facility is 100% leased.

Peak Construction Corporation Joins Mayor Rudy Clay And The City Of Gary Indiana As Part Of The “New Gary City Center” Redevelopment Project Team

$60 Million dollar redevelopment project to be completed in four phases over a two- to five-year period

NGDG consists of a variety of companies from across the Real Estate/Development industry in a joint venture to make New Gary a reality.

Peak Construction Corporation Is Alberto Culver’s Choice To Construct A 3,800 Square Foot Mechanical Penthouse In Melrose Park, Illinois

Mike Sullivan, president and founder of Peak Construction Corporation, announces that the firm will construct a large mechanical penthouse for Alberto Culver to handle their new production facility at their headquarters located in Melrose Park, Illinois.

“Having previously completed renovations to the truck docks and multiple build-outs for this client, Peak has earned the trust and confidence of the Alberto Culver management team. Consequently, we were asked to assist with devising a plan that would increase production space and efficiency at the current facility. Our team designed a roof top solution to accommodate our client’s need,” says Sullivan. “Peak’s ability to successfully conduct work without disruption to the facility’s office operations, production and schedules has allowed Alberto Culver to do what they do best, fill the needs of their customers without interruption of service,” said Sullivan.

The mechanical penthouse will provide space for equipment through an addition onto the second floor roof by converting the roof into a protected and enclosed structure with a concrete reinforced floor for support. The project is to include insulated metal panel walls on structural steel post and beam construction. Construction is to begin April 2007 with completion scheduled for June 2007.

Peak Construction Corporation Hired To Perform Construction Services For Kenosha Business Park, Kenosha, Wisconsin

Mike Sullivan, president and founder of Peak Construction Corporation, announces Peak’s selection by Darwin Realty to perform construction services for Midwest Transportation Land Development in the Kenosha Business Park.

“Our track record of providing added-value to developers during the land entitlement process on numerous other business parks in Illinois, Indiana, California, Wisconsin and Kansas provided Darwin with the confidence that Peak Construction Corporation was the right choice,” says Sullivan. “Peak has provided numerous project design/build services for both Darwin directly and to third-party users represented by the prestigious brokerage firm.”

The project includes 6-12 months of entitlement work with the City of Kenosha. The first building is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2007. The 100-acre Kenosha Business Park is dual-rail served by the Union Pacific Railroad and Canadian Pacific Railway with development sites and build-to-suit facilities for sale or lease. The park offers on-site short-line interconnections, transloading services, abundant parking for trailers and cars, foreign trade zones, low real estate taxes and utility costs along with a skilled and educated labor force.

James A. Guelcher As Project Manager

Mike Sullivan, president and founder of Peak Construction Corporation, announces the selection and engagement of James A. Guelcher as Project Manager. Jim will be responsible for all facets of project management.

“Jim’s vast range of experience in retail, commercial, industrial, and municipal projects adds another level of diversity to our team as we continue our momentum in varied market segments,” says Mike Sullivan, president of Peak Construction, “This strategic hire is another component of our ongoing expansion.”

Jim brings more than 5 years of construction industry experience to Peak’s project management team. Most recently, he held the position of Senior Project / Operations Manager for Lee Companies, Gary, Ind. Some of his experience includes a $7.7 million retail site development; $6 million grocery store; $1 million free-standing retail center; $1 million commercial automotive racing facility with living quarters and more than $6 million in multiple capital improvement projects for the City of Gary Parks department. Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts from Saint Norbert College; Green Bay, Wis., and a Masters of Science, Urban Planning and Historic Preservation, School of the Art institute of Chicago, Ill. He is past Director of the Calumet Regional Office Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana and Program Manager of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Midwest Office, Chicago, Ill.
