Peak Construction Corporation Selected To Renovate IMS Companies’ 255,000 Square Foot Facility In Des Plaines, Ill.

Mike Sullivan, president and founder of Peak Construction Corporation, is pleased to announce that the firm has been selected to renovate and remodel a 255,000 square foot facility for IMS Companies, LLC, a custom precision metal manufacturer, at One Bakery Drive in Des Plaines, Illinois. The facility was formerly occupied by the Kellogg Company.

“The IMS renovation requires a quick turnaround and precise execution,” said Mike Sullivan. “The project needs a complete retrofit of the production area to meet their new manufacturing workflow, and a remodeling and expansion of their office space.”

The renovation began in February 2006 and is scheduled to be completed and fully operational in October of 2006. After completion, the Engineered Products Group of IMS will be located in the facility, and employ up to 350 workers by late 2007, creating new jobs for the Des Plaines community.

Peak Construction Corporation Selected To Design And Construct Interior And Exterior Improvements For Arbonne International

Mike Sullivan, president and founder of Peak Construction Corporation, is pleased to announce that the firm has been selected to design and construct the interior and exterior improvements for Arbonne International, a world leader in skin care products, in the 442,737 square-foot Precedent South Business Park, in Greenwood, Indiana (suburban Indianapolis).

“Not only will we need to design and construct an aesthetically pleasing interior and exterior office space, but we will need to develop multiple-level work areas to accommodate Arbonne’s sizeable work force,” said Sullivan.

The interior and exterior improvements will include office space, conveyors, mezzanine and multiple level picking and sorting stations operated by a multiple shift workforce of 150 employees. The work will include increasing the electrical service size; increasing the parking space area; and, modifying the office entry and window features to meet the 5,000 square-foot office space requirements.The original heating, ventilation, lighting and fire sprinkler improvements only need modest modifications to meet Arbonne’s requirements.

Deerfield, Ill.-based Quadrangle Development Company developed the Precedent South Business Park. With the 208,737 square-foot lease to Arbonne, the facility is 100% leased.

Peak Construction Corporation Hires John Reilly As Vice President To Support Ongoing Firm Expansion

Mike Sullivan, president and founder of Peak Construction Corporation, announces the hiring of John W. Reilly as Vice President. John will be primarily responsible for all aspects of operations and design build project management. Reporting directly to Sullivan, he will oversee the functions of estimating, recruiting, quality, safety, financial reporting, training and career development and operating procedures.

“John’s ingenuity, proven track record with client satisfaction and expertise in the construction industry will provide Peak with just the right balance when it comes to positioning our rapidly growing organization,” according to Sullivan, “He brings a unique combination of engineering and architectural enhanced experience that will play a vital role in the future success of our company.”

John brings 14 years of design build and operational experience to Peak.  He has previously held executive positions for design build and general contracting companies in which he has delivered over $200 million in design build projects. In the healthcare field, his experience ranges from $2 - $150 million projects. John has built award winning projects for clients such as San Francisco Chronicle, Scripps Treasure Coast Publishing, Tuscaloosa News, New York Post, John G. Shedd Aquarium, and the Brookfield Zoo. John began his career in the construction industry with McClier Corporation in Chicago, Ill. He holds both a Master of Science in Civil Engineering and Construction Management and a Masters of Architecture with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

Peak Construction Corporation Expands Field Bench Strength with Two New Hires

Mike Sullivan, president and founder of Peak Construction Corporation, is proud to announce the hiring of Bill Nielsen and Tony Amettis as field superintendents. Both Bill and Tony will be responsible for complete job site construction, including municipality services, safety program management, comparative analysis and civil and structural plan reviews.

Bill previously held the position of superintendent for HCA and Medline on the Gulf Coast. He has more than thirty years of experience in construction services and some of his Chicagoland projects include AT&T Corporate headquarters, the Japanese Consulate, City of Chicago Police Department headquarters and both American Airlines and American West Airlines renovation and expansion at O’Hare International Airport. He attended Washburn Trade School and served in the U.S. Army National Guard.

Tony brings 30 years of on-site construction experience to Peak Construction. Previously, he worked as a Commercial Site Superintendent for Triumph Development in Elgin, Ill. Tony holds an Associate of Arts in Building Construction Technology from Rock Valley College in Rockford, Ill.

Peak Construction Corporation Hires James Mullen In Expansion Of Field Operations

Mike Sullivan, president and founder of Peak Construction Corporation, is proud to announce the hiring of James Mullen as Project Engineer. James’ responsibilities will include the execution of a wide variety of project management tasks, exposure and training on the numerous project management philosophies, techniques and programs used to complete design build projects.

“James talents will enhance Peak with an array of the latest engineering principals and the highly competitive spirit characteristic of Marquette graduates.” says Sullivan, “He brings new ideas to the table.”

James held the position of Project Coordinator for Milwaukee based Earth Tech Inc.’s new community development testing drinking water pump station efficiencies and residential well water quality for the City of Milwaukee. James is a graduate of Marquette University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. He is a founder of the Marquette Chapter of Engineers without Borders and a member of Chi Epsilon Civil Engineering Honors Society.
