Peak Construction Corporation to Perform Parker Hannifin Facility Renovation

Peak Construction Corporation is currently performing a complete interior and site renovation of an existing 49,445 square foot manufacturing facility in Elk Grove Village, IL for Parker Hannifin, a global leader in motion and control technologies including aerospace, climate control, electromechanical, filtration, fluid and gas handling, hydraulics, pneumatics, process control, and sealing and shielding. The property, sitting on 2.5 acres, is located at 850 Arthur Avenue in Elk Grove Village, IL. Construction began January 1st with completion expected in early July 2012.

The interior renovations include a complete demolition and reconstruction of the existing 14,675 square feet of office space, 5,027 square feet of new office mezzanine, six new drive-in doors, a new elevator, a new building street façade and sun shade system. The construction also includes major upgrades to the existing electrical, plumbing, HVAC and fire sprinkler systems. Exterior work will consist of a complete reconstruction of the existing pavement and associated sidewalk, regrading of the site and all new landscaping.

Heitman Architects is the architect on the project and Jacob & Hefner performed the civil engineering.

Peak Construction Corporation to Perform Dr. Pepper/Snapple Facility Renovation for Seefried Properties

Peak Construction Corporation is currently performing a complete interior and site renovation of an existing 43,000 square foot precast and steel building on a 6 acre site for Seefried Properties which will house the midwest operations for Dr. Pepper/Snapple Group. The property is located at 1230 171^st Street with easy access to I-80 and I-94 off Halsted Street in Harvey, IL. Construction began November 1^st with completion expected in February 2012.

The interior renovations include a complete demolition and reconstruction of the existing 3,351SF office with an addition of a 4,120 square foot, new two-story office featuring an elevator, new private offices, a training area, conference rooms, lunch room and open office space. The existing warehouse, comprised of 33,724 square feet, had its four existing drive-in doors along with several existing precast panels removed to incorporate two new, separate dock areas creating ten dock positions and two new oversized drive-in doors. Additional warehouse features include replacing the existing lighting with T-5 high bay fluorescent lighting, an ESFR sprinkler system and a new ventilation and exhaust system. The property also features completely repaved and repainted parking in addition to a new 118 space employee parking area and parking for 62 trucks. The entire site will be fenced in with a guard house.

Seefried Properties is the developer while Phillip Prince & Associates designed the structure and Jacob & Hefner Associates acted as the civil engineer.

Mike Sullivan, Jr., President of Peak Construction Corporation, is pleased to announce the addition of Kevin Micheli, Project Engineer, and Jay Mumm, Project Superintendent.

Kevin Micheli, since joining Peak in late October, has been serving as Project Engineer overseeing field operations and site improvements as well as interior office expansion for Dr. Pepper/Snapple in Harvey, IL. With over 13 years experience in real estate in residential/commercial design and development, Kevin has acquired over $52 million in assets over the past five years. Kevin, a licensed engineer, graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Marquette University.

Jay Mumm joined Peak in September serving as Project Superintendent. He is currently overseeing expansion work being done for MGL Trucking in Franklin Park, IL as well as tenant improvement for Aerotek’s Schaumburg location. Jay has over ten years experience as a Project Superintendent.

Mike Sullivan, Jr., President of Peak Construction Corporation, is proud to announce the following promotions: John Reilly to Executive Vice President and Jim Michael to Project Manager, while also welcoming Michael Kaufman, Jack Daluga, and Tim Heine to Peak.

John Reilly joined Peak in May 2006 as Vice President and is primarily responsible for company daily operations and project management. With 19 years of industry experience on detailed and complex projects, John has proven integral to Peak’s success. Jim Michael, who has been with Peak for five years, remains a reliable asset and is currently the Project Manager for a new Hilton Garden Inn in Cedar Falls, IA and a Homewood Suites Hotel in Coralville, IA, both scheduled for completion in 2012.

Michael Kaufman joins Peak as Vice President, Sales & Marketing. Mike is primarily responsible for Business Development, Sales and Marketing. He is a construction engineer and brings over 26 years of national design build experience to Peak. Jack Daluga performs a range of Project Management duties for Peak. Jack has experience on numerous design build, office-warehouse facilities and specific experience with building public utility service consolidation. Jack holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton (Ohio) as well as a Construction Management Technology accreditation from College of Lake County (Grayslake, Ill).

Tim Heine joins Peak as a Project Superintendent. He is currently working on-site for a medical office renovation and a new Medical Office Building. Tim is a 2005 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Peak Construction Corporation to Build Hilton Homewood Inn Suites in Coralville, IA

Peak Construction Corporation will break ground as general contractor on a new Hilton Homewood Inn Suites at the Iowa River Landing district. The hotel, southeast of the Interstate 80-First Avenue interchange, is owned by Lincoln McIlravy of Cantilever Hotels, LLC. Construction is set to begin Monday, October 10^th.

The six-story hotel, with a structural steel frame with precast hollow core plank floors, masonry veneer/metal panel exterior cladding, on caissons, will feature 95 extended stay guestrooms, 9,000 square feet of first floor retail, and an indoor swimming pool and spa. The 91,976 square foot hotel is set to open in Summer 2012.

Cities Edge Architects, Inc. based in Willmar, MN, designed the structure and Ramaker & Associates, Inc. performed the site engineering.

This represents the seventh significant hotel development for Peak Construction Corporation. “Hospitality remains a very strong segment of the current real estate market,” Peak Executive Vice President John Reilly said. “We are excited to be part of this project and part of the city’s plans to redevelop the Iowa River Landing district.”

The Homewood Inn Suites is located with high visibility off of I-80 with medical, up-scale retail, entertainment venues, and restaurants within walking distance.

Peak Construction Corporation to Add 100,000 Square Feet of Office Space to Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc.

Chicago based Quadrangle, LLC has selected Peak Construction Corporation as its Design/Build General Contractor to complete the new 100,000 square foot U.S. headquarters project for Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc. (BIVI).

Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc. is the U.S. animal health division of Boehringer Ingelheim Corporation, one of the world’s 20 leading pharmaceutical companies, with more than 41,000 employees in 101 countries. BIVI is dedicated to the research, development, manufacture and marketing of pharmaceuticals around the world.

The four-story administrative office building, designed by GBA Architects, will be located at the southwest corner of Gene Field and Woodbine Roads in St. Joseph, Missouri. The building is part of BIVI’s 8.1-acre research and development campus, located in the heart of the Animal Health Corridor stretching from Columbia, Missouri to Manhattan, Kansas.

Peak and GBA Architects utilized 3D Revit / BIM Modeling for the creation of the design documents, design conflict management, and integration of major systems. The project is currently under construction with completion scheduled for the second quarter of 2012.

Peak Construction Corporation to Begin Bronson & Bratton Expansion Project

Mark Bronson, President of Bronson & Bratton, a manufacturer of tungsten, ceramic dies, and tools, selected Peak Construction Corporation to complete a 21,000 square foot expansion project. The building is located at 220 Shore Drive in Burr Ridge, IL within Hinsdale Industrial Park, by the intersection of I55 and Route 83.

The 21,000 square foot addition will be comprised of 4,200 square feet of new office space and 16,800 square feet of new warehouse space. The new addition will feature 2,000amp/480 volt service, power distribution, retrofitting existing fire protection system, full air conditioning, sky lights in the offices, and precast concrete load bearing walls. Construction on the expansion is set to begin on October 1^st and completed on March 1^st, 2011.

Peak Construction Corporation to Build Hilton Garden Inn in Cedar Falls, IA

Des Plaines, IL (September 29, 2011)— Peak Construction Corporation recently broke ground as general contractor on a new Hilton Garden Inn Hotel on Nordic Drive near Iowa Highway 58 and Ridgeway Avenue in Cedar Falls, IA for hotel owner Chris Bro III. Construction is now underway on the 113 Guestroom facility following a late September groundbreaking.

The four-story Stucco finish hotel with cultured stone masonry accents features a 5,000-square foot banquet facility, a full service restaurant, a fitness center, and an indoor saline solution swimming pool. The hotel will occupy 4.5 acres of land within the Lockard Pines development. The Hilton Garden Inn is set to open in Summer 2012.

Peak Completes Diamond Envelope Project

Mike Sullivan, president and founder of Peak Construction Corporation, announces that the firm has been selected by Rauland-Borg to complete requirements for the new state of the art manufacturing facility located at 1802 West Central Road in Mount Prospect, Ill. Occupancy began the first of November 2008 and final completion is scheduled for April 2009. Peak will be coordinating and managing a complicated construction schedule accommodating multiple stages of occupancy and operation while additional new construction is completed in the facility.

“The final Rauland-Borg project solution will result in an appropriately placed series of business departments each integrating their respective functions in an efficient and modern manufacturing environment that enables their finished products to be delivered to customers in a competitive and customized platform. The Rauland-Borg family of health care communication products continue to be recognized as the benchmark of excellence internationally in the health care industry by both customers and competitors.” said Sullivan.

Building Info

The project scope includes the analysis and integration of numerous essential Rauland-Borg business functions including engineering, sales, accounting, manufacturing, raw and finished good staging, as well as a state of the art “Solution Center” offering interactive demonstrations and product capabilities for prospective and existing clients. The 250,000 SF manufacturing facility will be operated by over 400 professionals supported by a full service cafeteria, fitness center, and human resources department.

The manufacturing process will require modifications and enhancements to the electrical power system, compressed air, HVAC, exhaust, anti-static floor surfaces, lighting, and emergency power systems.

Peak Construction Corporation’s project team includes John Reilly, project executive, Dale Carter, Senior Project Manager, and Tony Amettis, project superintendent. The architect is Heitman Architects, of Itasca, Ill. Jeff Blake with Paine/Wetzel Associates is the real estate broker for Rauland-Borg.
